Hospitals and clinics in Guatemala can face significant needs for medical equipment, supplies, and other resources. Friends of Guatemala works with healthcare partners and volunteers to help address those needs and connect communities with essential care.

HOW WE SUPPORT HEALTHCARE
Our support can include medical equipment, supplies, medications, medical missions, and other resources identified through our community and healthcare partners.
Medical Equipment
Support hospitals and clinics with essential equipment needed to diagnose, monitor, and treat patients including: Respirators, Mammography machines, Incubators, Cardiac monitors, Dialysis equipment, Hospital beds, etc...
Medical Supplies
Help provide medications, surgical supplies, laboratory resources, and other essential healthcare materials.
Medical Missions
Support medical teams providing direct care in communities where access to healthcare can be limited. We have served over 500+ people who have received care per mission
Healthcare Partnerships
Work with hospitals, healthcare providers, volunteers, and community partners to respond to identified needs.

Medical Missions in Action
San Lucas Tolimán
Friends of Guatemala supports the St. John's Jesuit Alumni medical mission to San Lucas Tolimán. According to the current site, medical teams work with village health promoters, transforming a community building into a temporary clinic with triage, clinic stations, and a pharmacy. The interdisciplinary teams have seen up to 150 patients per day.
